Hey, moon. [Lessons from my freshman year]

It's been a long and slow year, but at the same time, the year is ending faster and faster. I've learned a lot from my first year in high school and these are some:

- Cramming is not good
- But at the same time, cramming is okay. You get the work done anyway
- Procrastination is revolution. Don't procrastinate
- Be the responsible and mature one. Yeah right.
- Don't tell the younger kids to do bad stuff when they're older (drugs, alcohol, party)
- Don't forget to memorize the Bible verse of the month.
- I realized how much I want a British classmate
- It's more likely for you to sleep during class when you're sitting at the very back
- Math is a serious class so I shouldn't laugh when the answer is a funny number
- Talking back does no good
- Blogging calms you down. I think it's therapeutic.
- Be careful of who you're talking to. You never know if they're watching every move your body makes
- My name is Bronson
- Stay young
- Have faith like potatoes
- Have faith like Power Pops
- Watching videos before the lesson can make me sleepy
- Be quiet when lining up for History class
- Don't act tough in PE. I just stood up during dodge ball and I lasted pretty long
- Take risks
- Fangirling during class = not the best idea
- Don't fall in love, there's just too much to lose (Obviously, I am kidding)
- Look at my life. Look at my choices.
- I don't know how to end this blog

Bullying is bad

So obviously, this entry will be about bullying. And I know most of you people reading this know that bullying is bad. Duh.
I think that bullying is useless. I, myself have been bullied before.
When I was in the first grade, I wasn't in VCS. When I was in the first grade, I have never been bullied. Why? Because my old school was VCS. (We had no bullies back then because we were still a small school. Plus, there wasn't any Grade 7 or High School. We only had up to Grade 5.)
Anyway, in the first grade, I was a new student and I didn't have much friends. I remember one kid who was my seatmate and he had an obsession with Filmore (the cartoon). (I think he looks like Richmond, and my other seatmate looks like Thirdy R.) The Filmore-obsessed seatmate was the kid who bullied me. Not only me, but most of the people in class were bullied by that kid too.
This kid would punch me if we disagree on something. The only way to calm him down was to draw Filmore and show it to him. But unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work. He would constantly yell at me and my teacher would try to stop him.
I remember that he was very emotional, too. He would cry every time he doesn't get the lesson. *rolls eyes*
I never told my parents about him bullying me, and I regretted that.
He stopped bullying me at the end of the second quarter (I think). How'd he stop? The teacher moved him to a different seat. Thank God.

But the bullying didn't end there. I went back to VCS the next school year.
When I was grade 5, there was a bully in the school. He was 2 years older than me and Ken and I were even bus mates with him.
You guys know that hand thing that you do and if someone looks at it, you have to punch them? Yeah, he kinda took that seriously since he was in the 7th grade.
Being the naive 5th grader, I'd always fall for that and he would punch me very very hard. Not just me, he'd punch Ken, too - harder.
We would suffer the hard punches every time we have a ride home.
Not just that, he would even make fun of what I'm wearing! WHAT KIND OF GUY DOES THAT? I mean, SERIOUSLY?
The only times that he wouldn't bully me is if he's not there or he's too busy talking to our other bus mate.
He stopped bullying me... after he graduated.
I see him nowadays whenever I go to the mall with some old classmates. Now he says sorry all the time and he regrets that he was a bully back then.

SO ALL YOU BULLIES OUT DURR, YOU ARE SOON GOING TO REGRET IT AND REALIZE THAT YOU ARE DOING NO GOOD.
It's just like this: Calling someone ugly doesn't make you any prettier. Right?
People who bully you are either jealous of you, insecure, or they must be having personal/family problems. So pray for them.
You never know, it may be something worse than the personal/family problems.
...Maybe it's a psychological problem idk.
I have a billion things more to say, like my brother picking fights in class, being a bully myself, and my fat fingers but omg I'm inaantok.
So...
What I learned from being a victim of bullying? Being punched in the arm is painful. So don't bully. The End.

HS1 Field Trip

SUP MGA ASO? Hah, see what I did durr? Ok nevermind. So last October 15, our class had a field trip (yaaayy)! We went to the Bamboo Organ in (Daniel Park voice:)"LAS PIÑAS!!!" and we watched Ibong Adarna in SM South Mall, and last, we went to the Philippine Airforce thing.

First, we went to the Bamboo Organ in LAS PIÑAS!!! That place is sooo cool! It kinda reminds me of Hogwarts! The organ itself was cool and it made bird sounds.
Then I asked gum from Julio O because I felt dehydrated (as if chewing gum would do anything). I thought it was mint but turns out, it was soooo SOUR! But whatever, the gum was big enough to make a bubble! Only that whenever I tried making a bubble, my buddy (KRISA) would just keep on trying to pop it with her HAND. Why must you use your hand? It wasn't only Krisa who tried popping it, a lot more people have touched my gum. It eventually tasted salty. MGA HINDI NAGHUHUGAS NG KAMAY.

Then after that, we went to SM South Mall to watch Ibong Adarna! While going up, we were doing the Pancake House dance. It's kind of like the fire drill dance, only better. Well anyway, Ibong Adarna was soooooooooooooooooooo ok lang. Some parts were boring, but some parts were REALLY funny. Especially when Don Pedro and Don Diego tried killing the Ibong Adarna. MAAN, that was funny. Also when Don Diego's horse fell, and Don Diego said "AY KABAYO!!!" THAT WAS FUNNY, OK. While watching, there were a lot of distractions. To my left was Kim, whose head was leaned back and facing the ceiling. I thought she was dead, turns out, she was sleeping. In front of me was Nick. Normally, I'd place my leg on the chair in front of me and the person won't mind. Nick would grab my foot and untie my laces. Really, Nick?! REALLY? Anyway, when Badong and I went to the bathroom, BAD TIMING! Just when we went in, I think they had an intermission. So after about 30 seconds inside the bathroom, lots of kids (not really kids, students) ran inside the bathroom. Badong, Kim, Sweet and I tried to get out safely, but I ended up squeezing through sweaty people's backs. We went out and didn't even finish the play.
When we went out, it was so noisy and there were so much j3j3mons. They were staring at us while we were walking. It was so awkward but cool.
Then we went to pancake house. I was with Krisa, Sweet and Kim in the table. Oh yeah, I accidentally spit out pancakes at Krisa by accident! Too much laughing!

Then we went to the super boring Air force thing. It was boring 'cause there wasn't any tour guide and we had to figure stuff out by ourselves. Plus, we've already been there when we were Kinder 2.
Josh kept on yelling at wax figures, telling them that Jesus loves them and that they should turn Christian...yup, that's pretty normal.
Okay. OH, THIRDY D WAS TURNING INTO A FISH. Anyway, we didn't stay long. We only stayed there for like 20 minutes then we left.

Well, the trip home was okay. We watched Evan Almighty and for some reason, I was soooooo tired.

Just so you know, I started writing this blog about 3 weeks ago, and I am still not yet finished.

When we reached fort, it was pretty quiet. I took a short nap, until someone yelled, "YEAH! CLUB EWAN!!!"
I opened my eyes and saw that the movie was finished and there were colorful lights in the bus. It felt like I was hallucinating or something. Well, everyone was dancing and singing loudly. I wasn't. I just sat there and... did nothing.
Heh, ok. We went down from the bus and walked to school, Marge and I pretended to look drunk and wasted.
Too bad I left early. At least I was able to sleep in the car.
Ok. -end-

Hai October, hai

Well, time flies so fast, doesn't it? September was probably the shortest month I've ever experienced. I mean, I've only written 6 entries for the whole month! Compare that to last August, I wrote 14 entries. Well anyway, I haven't been blogging for 2 weeks(?) I was supposed to blog about something last week, but I forgot to. Right now, I have a LOT to write about, so I'll try to fit those stuff all in one entry.
Btw, sorry for not much entries. To be honest, I'm running out of ideas to blog about!
Anyway..
-I'll start off with what happened about 2 weeks ago. So, 2 Fridays ago (I think it was the last day of Dress Up Week), we went to Ange's house. It was me, Krisa, and Badong (Cley) who went. We originally planned to do "fun stuff." I think what Ange meant was like, to play board games and such. So, we arrived Ange's house and Krisa saw the pool and said, "Hey, let's jump in!" Which gave Ange the idea to make us swim. Then I was forced to swim, but it was fun :-bd
One of the things I remember from that day was when Krisa said, "HEY! LET'S PLAY RESCUE RESCUE!" Then we're all like, "...what?" Then after that, she said, "LET'S PLAY MERMAID MERMAID." Seriously?
Sadly, I got sick the next day. :(

-Ok, moving on.. DOCs! Probably my most hated thing this school year. So, we have a DOC for Science and History. The science DOC is becoming a problem for me 'cause... elements are hard, ya know? Plus, I don't do powerpoints. On the other hand, thank God I have groupmates in History.

-MY FREAKIN REPORT CARD. Lemme tell you, I just received THE lowest average I've ever gotten in my entire life. And my Art grade, omg. Why is it so low?! And the character thingy, I got a big 'ol 2 for everything. sdhkjahdshdkjad

-Good news, IT WAS TEACHER'S DAY! Last Tuesday to Thursday (September 28-30), higher-leveled students volunteered to teach classes to the lower grades. Sofia, Thirdy R, and I taught Science to the grade one class. THEY WERE SO CUTE OMG ADHKJSHFJLHD
We also had a program last Thursday that made some teachers cryyy. It made me appreciate what the teachers do every single weekday. Especially the ones that teach our class. I realized how hard it actually is to handle a class! I mean, the 1st graders were already kinda hard to manage ('cause of some people who keep standing up without permission), and I can't imagine how hard our class is to manage. So, THANK YOU TO ALL THE TEACHERS OF VCIS! It must be really really hard work, so thanks! >:D<

-Another one was Marlo's partaaayyy! It happened after school last Thursday. It was at the rooftop of the building where Dimsum 'n' Dumplings was. We went to his place at around 3:15(?) and went to the roof top. The place was OWSUM. The view from up there was so nice, and the place had a bar.
Alex, Jeff, a hacker dude, the teachers, and Thirdy R came while we were in Dimsum. The basketball dudes with Ange and Lystra came around 4.
Some of the teachers had a "dance showdown" with Cley. =))
At around 6, there was a DJ that arrived and he started setting stuff up. (You should've seen Thirdy R, he was sitting quietly and observing the DJ)
I left around 8:30pm. THEY SAID I MISSED CLUB EWAN. I don't know how to react.

Ok, so I know if I stop here, this entry will be bitin. But it's 11:36 pm now, and I started writing this last FRIDAY. Today's Monday and there aren't any classes tomorrow! I'd love to wake up in a rainy morning. :p Just sharing.
OK THANKS!

Too much of anything is... too much!

Okay, I am seriously going to explode. Being a high school student is harder than I thought it would be. Yeah, it can be fun sometimes, but it totally makes time go faster.. in a not-so-good way. Why faster? With all these homeworks and projects, you have almost NO time left for yourself. Time goes by so fast, and you barely did anything yet. Instead, you waste your time blogging and ranting about it, just like what I'm doing now. I'm supposed to be writing an article for reading and writing, but turns out, MY PARTNER (you know who you are) wouldn't send me the video of all our interviews. I was supposed to write the article yesterday so that I can rest today 'cause I'm sick, but noooo. I'm doing homework on a Sunday again. ;___;

I know, I shouldn't be worried. God knows what to do. I just pray that by the end of the day, everything will be done.
I just found out that tomorrow's already September 20. Next week, it's the Filipino talumpati. Oh gosh.
Plus, we have 2 DOCs. Science and History. God, help me.
Seriously, I don't know if this is too much work, or I'm just not used to it. Anyway, I'll keep this blag, I mean blog, short. No .gif, sorry.
*sigh*

I need a donut.

Dress Up Week

Yesterday was the last day of the VCIS dress up week. We students had to dress up differently for each day of the week. Here's what we had to do:

-For Monday, we had to wear hip socks! Meaning, colorful, mismatched, ABNORMAL socks. I wore my black & white toe socks. It wasn't colorful, though. My creys~ :'(

-Tuesday, we had to dress up as athletes! ~i wuz a sk8er dewd, bro~

-Wednesday, dress up as what we wanted to be when we grow up. Mine was pretty obvious, but my outfit didn't make sense if my guitar wasn't there. I was an indie musician/record producer/band manager/REBEL. I'm so ambitious 8->

-Thursday, we had this weird, wacky hair day, whatever you call it. My hair was like Sierra's and Hayley's combined (according to Sopya). Kewl bro, kewl. :-bd

-And Friday, it was pajama day! I wore pajamas. Duh. But HS-1 and the G7 eventually had to change for PE.

Ms. Katie chooses a winner and gives them some sort of Australian candy. I forgot what it was called but people said it tastes like puto and taffy.
I brought my acoustic guitar to school last Wednesday, and left it there. I completely forgot to bring it home yesterday. Now my guitar's sleeping over for another 2 days in school.

But hey, at least Thirdy R and I were finally able to jam to "1985"! We've been planning to do that since LAST SCHOOLYEAR, and we were finally able to do it last Wednesday.

Yeah, GO PEOPLE WHO AREN'T GOING TO PASAPRISA!
Here, have crabcore!

Music (overused topic, but whatever)

Here's the deal.. I haven't written anything about how I feel about music. Call this entry cliche, I'll still blog about it anyway. Okay. If you know me well enough, you'd know that music practically means EVERYTHING to me. I know, I know, it sounds so overused.
Most people think of music as "a bunch words with a tune and a melody." Come to think of it, it actually is. But that's not what I mean. What I mean is.. how does music play a roll in your life? What does it mean to you?

Well..
Music to me is happiness. If there wasn't music right now, I'd be dead. Well, not really dead. I'd be lifeless. I wouldn't be what I am right now. Music keeps me going. If I'm not playing guitar, I don't know what I'd be doing. I wouldn't be the enthusiastic person I am right now.

Josh Montgomery, guitarist of The Summer Set, said, "Music is my life : ). Music is the only thing that makes sense in this world."

That's exactly how I feel, Josh. When it feels like all my hope is lost, I listen to music. In fact, I'm sure a lot of people do!
Last summer, it felt like nothing made sense anymore. I don't know why, but I hated it. What did I do to make it stop?
I put my earphones on, listened to some Fall Out Boy, and ate chocolate. It worked.
It's true. Music can change one's mood. Having a bad day? Listen to music to get your mind off of things. It works every time.

And NO, this post is not meant to be "emo."

Usually, when I'm sad, I listen to sad songs... which makes me even more sad.
Bored, I listen to instrumentals. Or anything, actually.
Angry, I listen to SCREAMO or slow songs. Weird.
Stressed, I'd probably listen to Christian rock, like Casting Crowns or Switchfoot.
Happy, I listen to anything!
But sometimes, I just listen to whatever I wanna listen to!

"Music puts everything you wish you could say into words and melody. Music takes the moments you'll never forget and makes them permanent."
- Stephen Gomez, bassist, The Summer Set

"Music is... organized chaos!"
- John Gomez, guitarist, The Summer Set

“Music = Freedom”
- Gabe Saporta, singer, Cobra Starship

Music is more than a chord progression and a catchy tune. Some people write music 'cause it's pretty much the only thing they can do.
Music isn't just entertainment. For some people, like me, music is like my own personal therapist.
Worship songs make me calm down. This way, God speaks to me through music.
Yes, praise and worship is one of the best things in the world.

There's this music video; it's by 30 Seconds To Mars. The title's "Closer To The Edge."
This, by far, is probably the best music video of 2010. I don't know if you agree, but this is just amazing. You'll know why when you watch it.

If the video doesn't show up, you can click here to watch it. If you're watching it, be sure to watch the whole video. Trust me, you'll love it. Okay, maybe not, but.. you get the point.

Well, that pretty much ends everything. I just hope I didn't bore you or waste your time. It was YOU who decided to read this anyway. I just had to let it all out.
Plus, I've written down another thing on my bucket list:
Write at least ONE original song.
'Yall should also have this.

OK THANKS FOR READING! BYE!
